The Lingerie Collective is pleased to once again welcome the French collection, Velvette Underwear. Parisian designer, Velvette, has hailed her work, “an ode to femininity – delicate and refined”. Her love for vintage wear is keenly played out in her lingerie designs.

With its flounces, pleats and cleverly placed ties, this collection has rightly earned the description of “retro chic”. The fabrics and finishes on these gorgeous garments, gives this range a high end finish. Lace, tulle and swiss muslin create a delicate feel to these pieces, intending them to look and feel like “second skin”.he core shades are a delicate waltz of pastels and nudes but touches of rich aubergine, deep red and flirty coral inject some welcomed colour into this superbly feminine assortment.

Whilst there is a sense of romanticism to the collection, shape and design of the bras and briefs are still quite functional. Balconette and plunged bras paired with ruched high-waisted and midi bottoms will entice us to keep reaching for them as every day staples. Luckily this season, they are being sold separately so we can make practical mix and matches. Velvette has whetted our appetite by sending a preview of her designs but they can be viewed up close at the Lingerie Collective in just a few short weeks.
